Submissions: we welcome ongoing submissions, and it costs you no more than the time it takes to send us an online link or the postage it takes to send us your work directly.  If you don’t hear back from us, don’t fret!  We space our submissions out to create programmes with punch, and yours might just fit in better at a later date and on a different roster.  We do keep all submissions on hand here at NF HQ!

our 3RD screening Summer Fun:

july 8th, 9pm

Hosted by FaceFace, the talking wall, NF3 promises to be a unique evening of some of the best our local talent has to offer in animation, music videos, and live musical performances.

Musical guest Squid Lid will begin the evening with a Cousteau-cabaret of industrial, dubstep and drum n’ bass circus beats.  Their theatrical blacklight performance will be followed by a full program of stunning animation and music videos from a hand-picked mix of relevant, weird, and hip Canadian artists, including works by Amy Lockhart, Nick Fox-Geig, Brandon Blommaert, and Nat Dart, as well as music videos from Land of Talk and Montreal’s Donzelle.

It all gets underway at the

REVUE CINEMA at 9:00pm.

Official Afterparty/Meet + Greet will be held at the River (413 Roncesvalles) immediately following the screening.

Put on by a shadowy council of artists, Naked Frames concerns itself with providing exposure to all things cool and all types of weird. Despite the growing number of film festivals in Toronto, there still remains a lack of venues for low-to-no-budget animation and music videos, as well as in-house collaborations that keep animators employed, happy and on their game.

These films flow below the more mainstream current, offering unique and startlingly original pieces. We applaud that sort of thing.
